I wanted to make something kids-friendly for the piggy-bank-design-challenge - this is my try. A computer-piggy-bank with different faces for you to try - and some smooth shapes! And if you like the smooth yet tech-inspired look - maybe it goes well on your desk too ;-)
Overview The model comes with multiple different face for you to attach. Please share your makes - would love to see the color/face combo you choose!
Assembly The assembly should be fairly straight forward:
- Screw the screw in the bottom
- Glue (or otherwise stick) the screen onto the computer (If you want to change screen every now and then, dont glue it. I use some sticker-thingy that can be reused)
Print instructions Here is a few tips:
- Orientation: All files should be printed as they are imported.
- Supports: Maybe.. I have tried to make all overhangs printable. All files can be printed without supports (those on the pictures are printed without supports!), but the 'chin’ might be better with paint-on supports in that area. Just be sure NOT to have supports inside the model!
- Layer height: For a smoother shape on the computer, consider using Variable layer height. (To do this, select the Computer when imported to the slicer - and press the Variable layer height in the top-center of the screen. Use default settings and press on Adaptive - should work that way in at least Prusaslicer and Bambu Studio)
- Colorchange: On the screen part, you can make a simple color/filament change at 1.2 mm, to have the face another color Happy printing!
