battery powered, rechargable fume extractor.

I designed around components I already had lying around which might explain some of the questionable choices made in the design and materials.

Don't need a multi material system. The colour changes are just at layers so manual filament swap can be done. I have attached a 3mf with the colour changes. Could possibly be fine tuned. Suggest printing on something other than textured PEI. I printed on a carbon fiber pattern build plate to get the look in my photos. Would love to see your prints on other build plates and using other materials. The main 'body' section requires supports on some hidden internal surfaces. I suggest tree supports on build plate only.

Bill of Materials:

  • 60mm 5v fan
  • 5050 LED strip (requires a bit of modification to fit, had to remove the rubber and fold the edges back. something around 8mm wide would be ideal)
  • 4v(1 cell Lion) to 5v charge/discharge PCB ( if you use a 12v fan then you will want a 12v version of this but cutouts will be in the wrong places)
  • Female USB C board
  • DC step up converter
  • 4 x M3 threaded inserts
  • 5 x M3 bolts (one to go into the back of the button once installed so it doesn't fall out.)
  • 8 x 6*3mm neodymium magnets
  • 18650 cell

I will update with more instructions etc later. If you have any questions please comment and I will do my best to help! 😊

can modify in OnShape. Document is a bit of a mess 🤷‍♂️ https://cad.onshape.com/documents/54d800c362b420ec4618faf9/w/bf00c6d02e44733d48dd363a/e/613b972fa4a15c57072c451d
