Do you lack exercise equipment at home? Say no more!

I designed those parallettes (push up bars) for every calisthenics enthusiast. All you need to do is to print the parts, drill a few holes and assemble everything together. Remember - summer is coming!

What you will need:

  • 4x "Parallettes - - 3MF or STL"
  • 12x countersunk wood screw - ⌀4x20 (⌀4,5 or ⌀5 will also work),
  • 2x ⌀35±0,3, 500mm long round dowels (basically a wooden bar) - I strongly recommend to use high quality material, like beechwood, because of it's stiffness and aesthetics)
  • a drill with ⌀3,5, ⌀4 or ⌀4,5 drill bit (chose a drill a little bit smaller than your countersunk screws).

Assembly instructions:

  • carefully measure your dowels first; I have prepared a few variations of the design so you can choose a best fitting one: "Parallettes - fi34,8 - 3MF" - dowel size: ⌀34,3±0,2 mm "Parallettes - fi35,3 - 3MF" - dowel size: ⌀34,8±0,2 mm "Parallettes - fi35,6 - 3MF" - dowel size: ⌀35,3±0,2 mm

(mine dowels measured exactly ⌀35mm and I used "Parallettes - fi35,3 - 3MF", I had to use some force to assembly the parts together, but now the whole design is very stiff and sturdy).

  • print the parts of the appropriate size (you don't need to use supports, parts are oriented correctly),
  • insert dowels into printed parts,
  • drill holes in dowels - you don't have to remove printed parts before drilling, holes are big enough to fit a ⌀4,5 drill bit,
  • connect printed parts and dowels by screwing them together with countersunk wood screws.

And that's it! You are ready to do some push ups, or even handstands!

Tips for printing this model:

  • orientation: all uploaded files are in the correct orientation,
  • scale: I do not recommend to scale the design because wooden dowels smaller than ⌀35 might be not stiff enough to support your bodyweight,
  • temperatures: depending on the material used and the manufacturer's guidelines,
  • layer height: 0.2mm or less,
  • number of outlines: 2 or more,
  • infill: 15% or greater,
  • brim: not required,
  • supports: not required,
