Hello fellow enthusiasts!

Design Overview

This design is also my first entry into a competition, which is the 'Wireless Head/Earphone Accessories' competition on Makerwolrd. If you enjoy this model, it would mean the world to me if you'd go and like and download this on Makerworld too! If not, no stress, you're still awesome and I hope you enjoy it!

I stumbled across the OTF fidget knife while I was doing some research on fidgets and couldn't help but think I could use a similar mechanism for a headphone holder. Thus, I have created an OTF Under Desk Headset Holder! Yes, this is a headset holder that uses a switchblade mechanism!

Built for convenience so you can neatly tuck the holder underneath the desk when not in use. It also looks pretty nifty with a fade pattern on the side and some different designs for the front face of the holder!

There is also more variations of this design on my Patreon! (the variations with coloured front faces, you'll need a multi-colour printer for these though).

Features

🔹No extra parts or adhesives required for assembly, just print and clip together! 🔹Intended to be stuck to the under-side of a desk with double sided tape or equivalent adhesive. 🔹Three platform designs: plain, skull wearing headphones and basic headphones 🔹The curve of the headset holder has been optimised to the average size of an adult human head so is less likely to crease and/or deform foams, cushions etc.

Print Notes

🔸I have added print orientation advice in the 'Read Me' in the download package 🔸Both smooth and textures beds have been tried and tested 🔸If printing in a material like ABS or ASA, I strongly recommend making sure your chamber temp is sufficiently high to minimise how brittle parts are. Both the spring and spring clips rely on elasticity of material (i.e. they bend, if the part is brittle it won't function as well). I have tried and tested in different PLA variants with good success
