Urgh!

Urgh!

Well, I have the body completely built, wires ran, and went to test the screen I purchased and it is a dud. So I have the entire body (above is the original) ready and printed, assembled mostly, and heat inserts installed. So, I already contacted Amazon and the refund has already been processed. I

Almost there

Have all the parts printed and on to assembly. It will have a 4" diagonal LCD screen with capacitive touch.

Screen has been ordered.

Screen has been ordered.

I have ordered the screen I plan on using to make this case fully functional as a computer... TV... both? You get what I mean. :-P. Got the redesign of the internals on the display and it will be bigger (4" diagonal 4:3 ratio 720x720 dpi), but I am also contemplating adding a cooling fan in the bac

Atomic Era Design

Atomic Era Design

I am working on creating more decor and other items from this era including a special treat that I will be working on once I get the Radiation King Raspberry Pi case finalized with a working screen. I love the style of the 1950s and 60s Atomic Age decor. It was a new age of exploration and science

Coming Soon...

Coming Soon...

I am completing prototyping of a Fallout London Attaboy replica prop. I have a prototyped model done, but I want to do a multicolor print of it and well.... it's gonna take a lot of filament and excess 19 hours printing the body. It should be about the size of what a real one would be. The corner b

Printer issues

Printer issues

Well, I replaced the Kobra 3 belt and apparently the K1 just had some loose wiring in the extruder. Replacing that broken belt definitely helped and improved print quality. It must had been a problem from the factory. I was getting that hotend leak but was able to resolve it myself. I am going to p

UGH!

UGH!

Well, this has been an interesting two weeks... Two printers are down and one parent. Unfortunately, my mother fell a couple weeks ago, she's 80 years old, and while fortunately she wasn't majorly injured, she was placed in an assisted living facility for rehabilitation before she can return home.

Memberships

Memberships

I am considering memberships as a way of funding versus per model sales. I like the idea of per model sales personally as you can get just the models you like. However, this has proven very inconsistent. I realize this is largely my fault as predicting what designs will be popular is difficult. I l

New Fallout Pi 4/5 Case.

New Fallout Pi 4/5 Case.

Hey, check it out! A Fallout themed Radiation King TV Raspberry Pi case. It has a dual axis display that can tilt and pan. Yes, it will be possible to put an actual active display inside it instead of just backlighting it. Check it out and give a like! 😊

3D Printable Flashlight

3D Printable Flashlight

This is another project I am working on to create a 3D printed flashlight that uses no wires or soldering. It will be almost, if not, entirely printable. The above picture is the lens cap with an embedded glass lens that is entrapped into the assembly. My plan is to use conductive plastic to create

New model - Tiki Bar Bird Feeder

New model - Tiki Bar Bird Feeder

My latest model is this Tiki Bar themed bird feeder. l use the money to support my work to buy filament, etc. Paying entirely out of pocket is a bit expensive and my mother is unfortunately wheelchair bound and just had her 79th birthday. Unfortunately, I don't get a lot of help from my siblings to

Hal 9000

I finally received most of the electronic parts for this. I am still debating on whether to use a Raspberry Pi 3B or 4. Either will really do, but I want to be economical. I'm also considering alternatives such as Orange Pi or one of the other many SBC. Then I need to work out any kinks and make re

Contest Winner

I guess I won a contest on Thangs.com. Unfortunately, I never received the email and just the notification here on Thangs. So I am not positive what I won. If anyone knows where to look on here for it, let me know and I will really appreciate it. When I click the notification, it takes me to email

Hal 9000 Digital Assistant

Hal 9000 Digital Assistant

Hello everyone! I have the case designed, printed, and partly assembled. I decided to use real glass for the outer eye lens. Have some of the guts to order. Already thinking about the next version that will be a gold version called Hal 10K (double reference). I'm trying to build this featuring an L

New models coming

I am currently working on a working traffic light that even has an emergency mode. It'll be operated by a Pi Pico running micro Python. I have some new throwing toys made to put up as soon as the neighbor kid brings me his results. He seems to like them. I'm also working on a few other projects, so

About myself.

Well, not sure what to say without giving my life story. I'll keep it short. I am fourty-one years young. I work full-time as DevSecOps for the government. I have been 3D printing for over a year now and designing since I could pick up a pencil and paper. I have been in computer science for thirty-
