  • For DIN A5 Paper – DIN A6 folded in Size – 160x160 mm bed space required
  • For DIN A6 Paper – DIN A7 folded in Size– 120x120 mm bed space required

Instructions:

  • Choose your size (file of the back and cover).
  • Choose your clip: The clip should fit into the cover with a little friction. Go for the clip_default first. If it is too tight use clip_more_clearance. If it is too loose use clip_bigger.
  • Print two of the covers, the back and four clips
  • Fold the paper in half (Tip: by folding them one by one the result will be slower but more precise in alignment).
  • Assembly the notebook by inserting the clips and pushing them into the cut outs according to the images provided.
  • Get a regular rubber band and put everything together.
  • Enjoy!

Print settings Material usage (Din A4): ca 200g Print time for one notebook (Din A4): 17h

Material: PLA Print direction: stls are rotated correctly, check images Support: none Nozzle size: 0,4 mm Line width: 0,4 mm Layer height 0,2 mm Outer walls: 3 Infill: 15% Build plate adhesion type: none

This design needs a decent print bed adhesion. Depending on your bed type measures like slowing down the first layer, increasing initial layer print temperature, increasing the first layer height, cleaning the bed with isopropyl alcohol or bed leveling may help. With a generally well set up printer the design is easy to print. If nothing else helps a brim can be used. If the size of the print is very close to your print bed size, make sure to not even use a skirt to make it fit.

Please don’t use any filament with particles (like wood filament) for the clips since those are usually more brittle.

Scaled the A5 model to X: 101% Y: 137% Z: 100% to fit travelers notebook inserts. Printed perfectly save for some issues with my filament choice. Feels great in the hand. Scaling worked flawlessly after I measured it with the spine included. Will likely be printing more of these in the future. This maker has some solid prints available.
Super fun! These were half US Letter size.

Changed colors at layers 18 and 25
I used US Half Letter Size for mine!

Great design. You only need 220/230/etc mm bed space on the X OR Y axis, not on both as the description (i.e. "230x230") implies, meaning all sizes will print on a Prusa i3 (or similar) bed.
