A full 3d printed organic waste bin with many features. The lid has an adjustable ventilation, while the bottom comes with a removable strainer for less odor and mold. The handle locks the lid comfortably in place when you want to carry it out. The indentation makes it super easy to empty it, even with just one hand. All parts are super quick to take apart, to get it clean. The knob also doubles as tool to remove the strainer without getting your hands dirty.

Thanks for the feedback, I am planning on giving this design an update soon but can't promise any specific timing - in the mean time I recommend checken your overhang settings and maybe increasing layer height when printing!

Nice design, came out well in PLA. However, in PETG I needed support for the bottom of the pot or the first few layers would not print perfectly circular. Also, I gave the screws for the handle a 2mm longer hub, otherwise the handle rubs on the screws and may cause the screws to become loose when turning the handle.

Hey not entirely sure what's going on with the PETG, maybe overhang settings? And for the screw, that works, but I actually designed them so the do have a slight friction with the handle when fully closed, so the handle is stable when you turn it around to empty it!

Is it possible to scale down this model to fit on the a1 mini plate?

Probably, not tested though. Maybe find the biggest % scale that fits the main bin and print the parts one by one to see if it works. The clearance is plenty and the A1 mini is very accurate, so I am giving it a 90% success chance

Great model! Is there a way to scale the handle to fit on the build plate of an A1 mini without having to cut it?

I’m having the same issue but with PLA. At first I had the outer layer to .25 and top layers .25 so I changed that back to default but I’m still getting a mess at the bottom. Should I try supports or could this be something else? I also have layer height to .1 as I wanted it to be high quality. All the other pieces have printed great so far. With those settings.

The overhangs are 35 degree at the bottom, the same metric that I use on all of my designs. I think supporting this will not make it better! I would not print this is 0.1 mm layer height. Please use the advised 0.2 mm. Smaller layer height is bad for overhangs!

Thank you for the quick reply! printed with the suggested .2mm layer height and it looks perfect!

Also I will look into the construction again since this happened twice now!
