Tennsco workbench shop table flared leg outlet box single gang

Custom fit single gang outlet box for flared style legs found on work tables and workbenches by Tennsco, though it may fit others if similar in dimensions (let me know if the comments if you have a different manufacturer it works for).

I was having difficulty finding a single gang box that would allow me to securely fit power outlets to the cutouts on my shop tables, so I custom made these for that purpose. They fit a standard single gang plate on the back and are deep enough to accommodate outlets on both sides, or an outlet on the front and a switch on the rear if desired. There is a 3/8" keyed hole at the bottom of the box to fit a standard wire clamp to secure the wire and is recommended to prevent wire strain on the connectors.

Update: Added design with 3/4" wire clamp hole.

Realized that when adding multiple outlets, I wanted to only have one cord going to the wall. As the 3/8" hole clamp is a bit tight for more than at most 2 cables (14-3 gauge), and the fact that the last outlet would have 3 cables (2 in, 1 out), I decided I'd alter the hole to accept 3/4" clamps and add it here in case anyone else also wanted to do the same.
