Instructions:

  • Choose your size (file of the back and cover).
  • Choose your clip: The clip should fit into the cover with a little friction. Go for the clip_default first. If it is too tight use clip_more_clearance. If it is too loose use clip_bigger.
  • Print two of the covers, the back and four clips
  • Fold the paper in half (Tip: by folding them one by one the result will be slower but more precise in alignment).
  • Assembly the notebook by inserting the clips and pushing them into the cut outs according to the images provided.
  • Get a regular rubber band and put everything together.
  • Enjoy!

This design needs a decent print bed adhesion. Depending on your bed type measures like slowing down the first layer, increasing initial layer print temperature, increasing the first layer height, cleaning the bed with isopropyl alcohol or bed leveling may help. With a generally well set up printer the design is easy to print. If nothing else helps a brim can be used. If the size of the print is very close to your print bed size, make sure to not even use a skirt to make it fit.

Please don’t use any filament with particles (like wood filament) for the clips since those are usually more brittle.
