Standing Penguin Pencil Holder
This is Percy the Pencil Penguin. His primary function? Hold pencils...or pens, or anything of similar size and shape. He has print-in-place legs that allow him to both sit and stand, with no assembly required. Just print the model, lift him off the build plate and allow the legs to extend down. Lean him slightly back, then set him down allowing him to stand up!
There are 2 versions available, a single/dual color file, and a multi-color file (3+ colors)! If you have a Bambu printer I have also included a pre-sliced file so you don't have to worry about painting.
I am currently prototyping some different hats as well, I just have to get the fit right so they don't fall off!
3D printing settings These are just the settings I used to test the model, feel free to use whatever settings work best for you. FDM or Resin: FDM (Maaaaaybbe resin) Scaling: Can be scaled up, scaling down may not work well. Supports: None Infill/Perimeters: I just used 15% infill with 2 perimeters, but I would use extra perimeters for more strength. Nozzle Size: 0.4 Layer Height: 0.2
If you are wanting to print single color, just slice and print the single color file. If you are printing multi-color, please watch this video so you can see how to slice the file for the best results!
If you have a Bambulabs printer I have also included a pre-sliced file so you don't have to worry about painting it yourself! it may still be beneficial to watch the video so you understand a pretty important aspect of getting the belly to look good!
