The Oliver Lamp is a captivating example of design merging with 3D printing technology, enabling enthusiasts to independently produce a piece of home décor. This lamp consists of three main parts, all printable in PLA:

Base: The foundation of the lamp, which not only supports the rest of the structure but also incorporates a handy groove for the passage of the power cable, keeping the design clean and uncluttered. The base is designed with a standard M10x1 threaded collar that fits an E14 lamp holder, ensuring that the lampshade and bulb remain securely attached.

Central Decor: This element, which fits into the base, adds a unique aesthetic touch to the lamp. It is the only component that requires tree-like supports during printing. After printing, it can be easily fixed to the base with a bit of superglue, following the positioning guides etched onto the base itself.

Lampshade: The final element to be assembled, the lampshade provides the finishing touch to the lamp. It mounts onto the base and is held in position by two collars designed for the threaded E14 lamp holder.

Included in the project is an optimized 3mf file for Bambu Lab printers, with recommended printing parameters: 0.4 mm nozzle, 0.2 mm layer height. The printing specifications for each part are:

Base: 10% rectilinear infill, with 2 walls. Central Decor: Tree-like supports enabled, 10% rectilinear infill, 1 wall. Lampshade: 0% infill, 2 walls. These parameters ensure that each part is printed with the strength and aesthetics required to make the lamp not only functional but also visually pleasing. The thoughtfully designed lamp allows for simple assembly, with the lamp intuitively and securely coming together.

To assemble the Oliver Lamp, follow these steps:

  1. Print all parts.
  2. Acquire a threaded E14 lamp holder (the project includes the collar for securing the lampshade, print 2 pieces).
  3. Get the power cable for the lamp. Slide the cable from the hole at the bottom of the base up to the exit at the top of the threaded rod.
  4. Connect the cable to the threaded lamp holder.
  5. Screw the lamp holder onto the top of the threaded rod of the base.
  6. Insert the central decoration and glue it to the base.
  7. Add the first collar to the lamp holder, adjust its height as desired, place the lampshade in the lamp holder and secure it with the second collar.
  8. Screw in your E14 LED bulb.
