Introducing Lumika, a table LED lamp that blends style and functionality in an intriguing design. Standing at 29 cm tall with a diameter of 20 cm, it offers generous dimensions that catch the eye. The lampshade is a true gem of design: the white lower part gently diffuses light downward, while the body alternates bands of dark color with white inserts, creating an all-encompassing 360° light effect without sacrificing the softness of the illumination. The top cover, also in white, not only aesthetically completes the lampshade but serves a practical function: it prevents the accumulation of dirt inside and can be easily removed for maintenance. The structure of the lampshade, firmly screwed onto the base, makes changing bulbs a simple and quick task, accessible to everyone.

The base of the Lumika is no less impressive: in addition to being customizable with various colors and shades, it conceals an intelligent design that saves material. It is hollow inside, yet this does not compromise the stability or the optimal weight of the lamp in any way. The base is also designed to discreetly integrate the passage of the cable, thus contributing to the visual cleanliness of the ensemble. This lamp is not just a piece of furniture, it's a piece of functional design that reveals my passion for objects that combine aesthetics, practicality, and ease of production with a careful eye on material savings and eco-sustainability.

Printing Parameters

Lid: Nozzle 0.4, Layer height 0.2, 2 walls, top layers 5, bottom layers 3, no supports, no brim; Base: Nozzle 0.4, Layer height 0.2, 2 walls, top layers 5, bottom layers 3, do not split into parts, manually apply the desired colors (e.g., the flat base at the bottom is 12mm high; you can give it a different accent from the rest of the lamp using the coloring tools in your slicer), infill density 10/15% cubic adaptive (this will save you a lot of material and time), rear seam, no supports, no brim; Lampshade: Nozzle 0.4, Layer height 0.2, infill density 0%, rear seam, 2 walls, top layers 5, bottom layers 3.

Note: 3MF file for Bambu Lab printers included in the project.

How to Assemble Lumika

  • Print all parts;
  • Obtain a power cord with switch, insert the cord starting from the hole at the bottom of the base (outer hole diameter 6mm, internal channel 8mm to improve cable sliding);
  • Obtain a smooth E14 lamp holder with an M10x1 thread on the bottom, wire the power cord to the lamp holder and finally screw it onto the base, inserting it into the designated housing that contains a threaded insert for securing;
  • Screw in your E14 LED bulb (I strongly recommend G45 type bulbs). Screw the lampshade onto the base. With gentle pressure on the tabs of the cover, place it on top of the lampshade.

Enjoy your Lumika! :)
