After buidling a Keyhive Sofle RGB Kit I realized that I didn't like how the plates were connected. With the default plates the PCB floats in the middle and is really only held in position by the keyswitches. To remidy this I designed a 3d printed spacer that supports the pcb from the back and makes installing the hotswappable switches much more convienient. The 3d printed spacer slips over the brass standoffs used in the origional kit and can be swapped while the keyboard is assembled just by removing the back plate.
I also redesigned the back plate to allow attaching wrist rests and have included the current ones I'm using.
In the pictures you can see the fully modded Sofle, I cut the new backplate out of frosted 5mm acrylic as I think it looks nicer then the stock 3mm acrylic. If you cut a new backplate with thicker material you will likely need new longer screws for the backplate.
