Hextraction Twozu Tile
What happens when you mash together the Sozu Tile and a left/right randomizer? The Twozu... or Sozu 2.0.
The first ball to enter gets trapped and usually throws the mechanism left or right. This blocks an upper opening and indicates if the second ball will dispense them lower left or lower right. It resets just like the Sozu. As a bonus, it can be played in any orientation. Sometimes if the first ball is entering from the side and has the perfect momentum, it will fling the ball over the flipper, exiting through the opposite lower. This risky strategy can be used to bypass this tile's reservoir mechanic.
Print/ Assembly Instructions Print the correct flipper for your ball size. Pop a spare 10mm or 3/8" ball in the flipper as a counterweight. The hardware is an M3x12mm screw. Use one or two M3 washers to reduce friction between the base and flipper.
Edits and Notes
- Updated the 3/8" flipper by moving the counterweight 2mm towards the center. This helps with the inconsistency of the old design which had balls rarely exit the tile.
- I kinda regret calling this the Twozu as I've created the Wave Tile, a Sozu replacement. Regardless, I'm keeping the name Twozu to reduce confusion.
- Credit to 'fluffy_dandelion' from the Voidstar Lab Discord server for the idea. I saw a short video of their concept and had to make it.
