I hope you like my new Ferret design! This fella has a new feature that adds another level of fun and posing, belly muscles! Well, not really... but if you simply add a rubber band to special channels along it's belly, it adds the tension needed to keep him standing with his belly off of the ground, yet he still remains super-flexible! Please watch This Video for a demonstration of the model and the proper way to string up the rubber band (it needs to be twisted between each link to work correctly).

In addition, he comes with optional belly extension links, so that you can make your Ferret belly as long as you want! I personally prefer one added extension. They come in two version, style A and B. Both are functionally identical, but have slightly different texturing so that the fur pattern doesn't repeat.

*Includes a basic multicolor 3MF (Eyes, Nose, and Ears) for Bambu Studio and PrusaSlicer

Please, share photos of your makes! I would love to see them!

**Includes 6 Stl Files, and a basic multicolor 3MF (eyes/nose/ears) **

A few of the parts have small connective "anchors" on the first layer to help with bed adhesion. You will need to trim them away before adding the rubber bands.

I use size #12 rubber bands (same size as used in my Bat design), like these here.***

  • Head: Snap-Fit to Body. Pre-Supported for easy printing. No additional support needed. Remove the neck clip pre-support after printing.
  • BodyFront: Print-In-Place. Snap-Fit to BodyRear or Extensions.
  • BodyRear: Print-In-Place. Snap-Fit to BodyFront or Extensions.
  • ExtensionA & ExtensionB (optional): Make the body longer by inserting these in between BodyFront and BodyRear! The only difference between the two is the fur texture, so that you can avoid a repeated fur pattern.
  • Tail: Snap-Fit to BodyRear.
  • 3MF: includes a basic Eyes/Nose/Ears multicolor 3MF file. (*Gray and White print in my gallery was hand, not mmu)
  • 5%-15% Infill.
  • 3 Walls.
  • note for cura* make sure "union overlapping volumes" is checked. It should be on, by default.
This should generally scale down to about 65% with full articulation, on a well calibrated printer. YMMV

Please watch This Video for a demonstration of the model and the proper way to string up the rubber band.

*This model was designed for FDM printing. It was not designed for Resin printing, and I cannot guarantee good/functional results. Resin print at your own risk.

Attention: Not suitable for unsupervised play by small children or pets, as small parts can pose a choking hazard if broken off due to rough play. Not recommended for children under 3.
