to brim or not to brim...that's the question! works np on my elegoo neptune 3 no brim. but i would put 3mm brim just for kicks and be safe.

i would go with a good quality basic .2 or better. the ball will roll better the higher resolution.
obviously you will need to push the inner ball to break from its .8mm stem when printed.

**Customization**

Choose between the loose spring or the stiff spring depending on how strong you want the latch hold to be.

Add your pet's favorite toy attachments to the end of the spring arm.


**Printing**

No supports required.

Print the springs with enough perimeters (shells) so that the arms of the spring are solid.


**Assembly**

Use a small short screw to attach the spring to your wall. Make sure any hardware sits flush or nearly flush with the latch surface.

The axel is a tight fit inside the handle. Glue or bolts should not be necessary, but the design supports using either.

Cat toy great fun for all animals no supports needed just size to your pet of choice.

Birdfeeder with food silo. The food is stored in the building and slides in automatically when the birds eat in front. The roof is removable and is held in place by both the overhang and 8 magnets.

You also need a piece of transparent foil (approx. 10x5cm), e.g. laminating foil. Cut the foil to size and stick it against the windows from the inside (these are the "window panes").
Also 8 cylindrical neodymium magnets 4 mm in diameter, 5mm long.

Print the roof upright (leave out the supports in the holes), this will look best. The building can be printed without supports if you have a good printer, but if you want to put some under the front wall (where the food slides through) and in the windows

The bird house can be put up or hung up. If you want to put it up, close the holes with extra plugs so that no food comes out. You should then secure it with wire or string that you pull through the triangular tunnel.

It is best to print in PETG so that the house is stable even in summer when the sun shines on it.

**Brief Model Description**
This model addresses the problem of most can tower systems where the cans interlock (or need to be alternated) and allows the towers to be chained together.  It provides an innovative mechanism for removing the cans from the tower.

**Needed Equipment**
- A well-tuned printer (bottom connectors might be very snug or have issues if your printer is not very precise). 
- 3 oz cat food cans.
- Printer capable of printing either 250 mm (Bambu Lab for example) or 210 mm (Prusa MK3S+ for example).

**Backstory**
Most can towers have to alternate the cans to make them not inter-lock, so you must have them upside down.  Also, if you want more than one tower, it can become unwieldy and be knocked over easily.  Removing the cans from the hole at the bottom can also be challenging. I wanted to address all these issues.  

I designed this in Alibre Design Pro.

There are three main parts to the design.  The container1 file is the main tower for the cans (can contain six standard 3 oz cat food cans for the regular one, five for the smaller one). Canlifter is the separator for each can (it has a slight fillet that makes the lid sit easily on the can top), but it also provides the ability to lift the can or pull the can out the bottom.

**Print Recommendations**
Connector prints with the H flat on the bed.

Canlifter prints with the upward-facing tab facing up.

Container1 prints with organic supports (on PrusaSlicer), or the Tiny Tree supports (on Bambu Studio).  I printed with three walls and 15% infill gyroid at .2 mm layer height for all of them.  I used an interface layer with PolySupport to make the edge even cleaner.

PLA is what I tested with and it works fine (the colors in the example are Printed Solid Jessie Tree Green and Blue Whale Grey, with NuMakers Black for the text). I used PolyMaker Polysupport for the interface layer with the supports. PETG might be okay for printing, but it could make it slightly less rigid, so keep that in mind. 

With the addition of adding text to models in both PrusaSlicer and Bambu Studio, adding text to the opening part on the base adds a nice effect (as seen in the example picture).
 

**Hardware/Assembly Information**
The can towers can be joined, or daisy-chained to one another. Place the tower over the connector. It should give a satisfying snap or click sound when pressing down. 

Printing a can lifter for each can be used is recommended. Put the can lifter on top of each can.  Even the last can on top with a lifter adds an excellent roof to the tower.  If you don't print the lifter, you can alternate the cans upside down, but it defeats part of the purpose of the design.

**Usage Recommendations**
Use the tab on the can lifter to pull the can out the bottom, and place the extra lifter on the top to avoid losing it.  When refilling the tower, you can either drop the can down or use a can lifter to guide it down with your fingers on both sides.  You can lift from above to get the can out with fingers on both sides.  Ensure the tabs line up to the holes on both sides of the tower. Also, ensure the tab points down when putting a can lifter on top of a can. The can lifter can also be used to pry up the cans if you forget to put a lifter in between the cans.

I have added two small balls inside the toy which makes a rattle sound. This makes it interesting for the cats. Also Cat toy v3 have increased thickness of the sphere from 2mm to 3.2mm. Increased thickness can give more strength compared to cat toy v2.

You can print this in single step and without supports but there is two methods.

EASY METHOD > I have uploaded gcode for ender 3 printer with temperature 205 and speed 50. This has all supports methods with correct orientation. you can download that print with tuning the temperature and other parameters during printing from printer.

EXPERT METHOD > I have used Cura and I can guide you on how to print this object in that. You have install custom support cylinder plugin from market place. Then open 3mf model in it and you make sure that the cone which is at the base and the cylinders connecting the balls are printed as supports. Use Brim typed adhesion. Change wall count to 4 so, which will avoid useless infill in the narrow walls.

Finally you have cut the supports that of the balls to make them free and tumbling inside the shell. Try to cut the base of the small balls so that the balls wont have any support protruding.

Les modèles commercialisés ne permettent pas de traiter le joint lors du collage des glaces d’un aquarium.
En principe les glaces reposent sur le support et il faut ajuster les angles supérieurs soit avec un adhésif ou mieux avec un serre joints pour un meilleur ajustement.
Le modèle présenté remédie au problème de traitement du joint intérieur et permet un maintien des panneaux de verre jusqu’à une épaisseur de 19 mm.
Après un premier modèle qui était très satisfaisant à l’utilisation il a été constaté que dans certaines situations il était impossible de les utiliser, de même que les serre joints du commerce. En effet lors du montage de grand Aquarium sur son lieu de destination, il était impossible de maintenir les glaces proches d’un mur.
Ce dernier modèle règle ce problème avec la double possibilité d’un serrage extérieur ou intérieur.
REMARQUES

    - Ce dispositif est à utiliser uniquement pour le maintien des pièces et ne sera pas efficace pour un serrage plus conséquent.
    - Il est déconseillé de le réaliser en ABS, car les colles et les solvants utilisés viendraient l’attaquer.
    - Dans la mesure du possible utilisez des vis et écrous en inox.

I needed a new scooper for my dog food. It holds about .5 cups or around 125ml

The problem is ants! We want to be kind to them, but then they go marching in the cat food bowl on the floor, ruining the food for the cat and resulting in an ant armageddon, there seems to be no other choice. But there is! Here is a compassionate answer: a disc that has a labyrinth inside (that lies underneath your cat food bowl shown here in black porcelain). The ants smell the cat food, climb in the lip gap to get to it, but then get lost in the maze, and never find their way to the food. It actually works! I have one and it has made it so that I no longer have to flush cat food or ants down the toilet. I wish I could say that I was the one to invent this concept but others came up with this idea long ago, I don't know who to credit. However for the Thangs DIY contest (#custom) I did create this design on Fusion 360, inspired by one a friend gifted to me but instead with the goal being to make it easy to 3D print one on a standard print bed size, with no supports required, and in two parts that can be printed separately. In this file I also have included a cat bowl in case you need one. I hope you enjoy it. And may the ants find some other food elsewhere. :)

UPDATE 12/14/21: I am totally flattered that people have liked this and downloaded it! I want to note that this design could be SO MUCH BETTER with a little work - I just don't have time to revisit it right now. Some of the most obvious improvements I would make - 1) It takes so much time to print and is wasteful - the walls could be much thinner with no detriment to the functionality. 2) A snap-fit between the two halves would be better. 3)It could be so much more artistic and creative! 

Anyway thank you for your interest in saving the ants!

Made a pitcher/scoop type of thing I am using to scoop out the cat food into the automatic feeder hopper. Can use it for anything you want of course.

My submission for #MakerMadness March. Before I start describing my submission I'd like to give credit as the claw is a remixed version of maxbraindevices' bistable compliant claw (https://www.thingiverse.com/maxbraindevices/designs) and the rod clasp are both remixed versions of mgx's rod clasp (https://www.thingiverse.com/mgx/designs). This is my first contest so I wasn't sure if remixed parts were allowed.

Now then, you may be asking why choose a claw grabber for this theme? Drop something behind your bed a few months ago? Use this just in time for Spring cleaning! Or if you’ve been tired of seeing litter around your neighborhood, now you can prepare yourself for Earth Day.

Assembly instructions and things I'm going to fix:
The rod clasp can be put onto a pole. I used a hiking stick, although one could probably be resized to a broom handle. (Printed at 100%, but again depends on what you're putting it on).

The coil in the (Unsaved) file stl, can be unraveled to make a thread loop through the notch on the claw with two ends being attached to the thread ring. (Printed at 147%)

And to attach the claw to the rod clasp, I used hot glue lol, but a better choice would to use a 3d printed peg, (I've yet to make one). (Printed at 110%)

Another flaw I've noticed is that the design is specialized for my hiking stick. Although one could modify the rod clasp in Cura, I'll still work on how to make a compliant version that sticks onto broom handles, actual sticks, or a 3d printed handle.
