A paper towel holder with a great tear-off experience. It is fully enclosed, so your towels don’t get wet and stay hygienic.

Sizes All sizes have an additional 12 mm clearance to the sides, so slightly bigger or deformed rolls work, too. The sizes are described in the maximum Roll diameter x roll height in mm

  • EU: 110 x 260
  • EU Big: 150 x 260
  • US: 140 x 280
  • US Big: 150 x 280
  • US Costco: 150 x 290
  • AUS: 130 x 210
  • AUS Big: 150 x 210

The center of these rolls usually has a diameter of 40 mm. The center bottom fits rolls from 38 – 43 mm in diameter. For bigger rolls there is an adapter sleeve included that lets you use rolls up to 48 mm in inner diameter. It works with all three sizes described above.

Instructions

  • Choose your version
  • Print all parts
  • Optional: Print the TPU feet and glue them into the bottom, you can also use store bought rubber feet with a diameter of up to 8 mm.
  • Push your roll onto the center bottom
  • Insert it into the bottom while already guiding the first paper towel through the slit
  • Add the top to the center top and connect them with the screw
  • Place the top assembly onto the bottom assembly while guiding the paper towel through the slit.

Usage

  • Place one hand on top so you can use or block the rotation.
  • Unroll the Paper towels until the perforation slightly sticks out.
  • Block the rotation and tear off the paper at an angle.
  • You can retract or push out the paper with the knob on top
  • If your roll gets stuck, you can use the center notch to grab it.
  • If it is stuck even further inside, you can lift the top half of the assembly to fix the paper towels in place.

Print settings Required build volume A: 150 x 150 x 170 mm Required build volume B: 190 x 190 x 180 mm

Product easily falls apart. Just a suggestion, make the top back part of the outer shell into a clasp and change the center post to lock-in both halves; this will make it more solid. Also, make the feet screw-in so that it becomes a tool-less product.

Not only is this a super useful and well thought out product, I really like the design. The lines are smooth, the ability to have dual-color really makes it really pop. Thank you!
I ran into a problem with your model when I printed the 150mm W 260mm H it doesent fit american rolls in height. The 280mm model works in heighth but not in width. If it is possible to make a model that is 250mm by 280mm thet would fit american jumbo rolls.
Need a version for 285mm rolls from American Costco!
Thanks for the C version of the holder with the adapter. Now the paper fits perfectly.

// To prevent the towel from twisting when pulling at an unoptimal angle, I wrapped the adapter with a single layer of masking tape.
Printed this on new Bamboo lab P2S printer and the build looks good, but there are a few things that needs improvement.
Right now, the model cannot be lifted without the top and bottom parts separating. I wish there was a way to hold these parts together. I'm new to 3D printing and have 0 skills to modify it. But got some ideas how we can do it.
Looks good, but has some design flaws:

- Parts do not lock, so it's impossible to carry.
- If your roll does not have the exact measures this was designed to hold, good luck getting a single sheet. You'll have to fiddle your way into the top to hold the roll.

If the license allows, I would probably modify this to include a click system between the two halves and a compliant clutch so you can lock the roll when applying pressure to cut a sheet.

Thanks for the feedback! Yes the design is currently not intended for carrying around since I prioritized a quick take off for easier tangle fixing! I wrote that down though and will see if I can get both things done!

Agreed! I like to grab and move my paper towel holder sometimes, especially if I want to bring it to where I'm cleaning up, or move it out of the way while cleaning countertops.

Hi there thanks for the feedback! What the diameter of the inside of your rolls? So I can add another thickness to the lower inner part! Also I will write down the idea to lock the parts together, although I prefer it to open quickly so you can fix a tangle, maybe there is a way to get both!

Agree, some form of locking/engaging feature would be great. I want to mount mine horizontally and feel it likely won't work at the moment (about to start printing, so not sure yet).

I just updated the files to have a adapter for bigger inner diameters!

I printed the US Costco: 150 × 290 version and tested it with Bounty paper towel rolls from Costco. The fit seems a bit loose, as the roll is slightly taller than the printed holder (see photo). Just wanted to share this in case it’s helpful for sizing adjustments.

Please add for dimension: 150m diameter x 180mm height, with inner diameter 60mm. Thank you.

Can you make a 110x210 version ? In Belgium my paper towel roll are those dimensions :)
