Folding Scalpel XL v2.1 (for #60 Blades)
This is a derivative of my newest design version 2.1 of this knife which now has improved geometry to help keep the blade closed and or opened as well as a detent on the closed side to minimize the chances of it partially opening in your pocket.
This folding scalpel handle is extra long (XL) designed specifically for the #60 blade. I had several requests for this knife handle and it was not practical to incorporate it into my original design so here it is…
Safer (detent and new geometry), stronger and stiffer and can accommodate the very long #60 scalpel blades (up to 71mm in total length).
The pivot utilizes my offset radii design allowing it to print easily and still rotate tight in the open and closed positions.
