Logical Scraper B - 1 Piece No Screws No Assembly
Logical Scraper B - 1 Piece, No Screws, No Assembly
If Model A was the engineer's scraper, Model B is the minimalist's answer to the same problem. One piece. Print it. Install the blade. Done.
After designing the two-piece snap-together Logical Scraper A, I challenged myself to see how far I could simplify the concept. The result is a single-piece design that eliminates assembly entirely - no hooks, no indexing, no sliding parts. The blade wedges directly into the handle, and an inspection window lets you confirm the blade is fully seated before you put it to work.
What Makes It Different
Most printed scrapers involve screws, multiple parts, or both. The Logical Scraper B has none of that. You choose your preferred blade angle before you print, and that is it - there is nothing to assemble and nothing to strip or lose.
- 1 piece only - handle and blade holder are a single printed part
- No screws, no assembly - blade installs directly into the printed slot
- Inspection window - confirms the blade is fully seated
- Selectable blade angle - four variants included: 13, 14, 15, and 16 degrees
- Angle embossed on each handle - so you always know which variant you are holding
- No supports required - print straight from the STL/3MF files as oriented
- Standard blade - fits the common 32mm wide x 23mm deep scraper blade
Which Angle Should I Print?
The blade angle is embossed on the bottom of each handle so you can always identify which variant you are holding. Not sure where to start? I have tried them all and find 15 degrees to be the sweet spot for most print removal tasks - but your preference may vary depending on your bed surface and material.
Want Swappable Angles?
Check out the Logical Scraper A - the two-piece version of this design with five interchangeable blade holders (12 through 16 degrees) that snap in and out without tools.
Assembly
BLADE SAFETY WARNING - READ BEFORE ASSEMBLY The scraper blade is extremely sharp and capable of causing serious injury. Handle the blade with pliers only - never bare hands. When seating the blade, place the assembly on a semi-soft surface such as wood or a cutting mat and apply pressure from above - do not use a metal surface as this will damage the blade edge. Check the inspection window to confirm the blade is fully seated.
DISASSEMBLY - Not Recommended This scraper is designed as a permanent single-piece assembly. While the blade can be extracted using pliers, doing so carries a significant risk of injury due to the exposed sharp edge and is not recommended. If you need a different blade angle, simply print a new scraper.
