#3DPNSPEAKERCOVER Rendering File - See my page for the 5 part print file! Use this file for reference when putting together. This model is for the size screws in the contest. I suggest if you have the ability to fill the holes into 6 mm or use a washer, and use longer screws or nuts and bolts all the way through the center tower. Jimi Steele Speaker Cover SONIC BOOM -This design is based on the Bose Waveform studies combined with a Fibonacci fractal scaling on the Z-axis for cancelation and on the X-Y axis for amplification. (1/20 waveform scale). The design can be scaled, but that will limit the effectiveness of the wave manipulation as the 1/20 waveform scale is relevant to the 160 mm speaker circumference. (Edit- I redid the formula to scale a larger speaker and realized that since I only used the space for cancelation on the Z and space for a boost on only the X&Y... drum roll... you can scale it on the XY for any size speaker and if you leave the Z the same it should still work!)The gaps in the design are specifically designed to filter out crossover frequencies between the kick and bass. (mud filter) The outward funnel to boost the reformed coalesced signal. This design should increase bass presence and filter out self-canceling signals. I am also an amateur Sound Studio Engineer and Recording Engineer and these designs have been noodling around with me for a while. The contest inspired me finish them up. Final one combining our artwork and the functionality. I am dividing it up into a 3/4 pc version as well for actually printing. I am dividing the parts with a mind to the assembly as well as the color scheme. So that a color scheme as shown in the render can be a achieved with a duel filament printer. Designed for Thangs & Joel’s 3D Printing Nerd contest - Love the Nerd!
