The bentwood chair is a faithful miniature representation of the redesigned Thonet No. 14 bentwood chair popularized in the 19th century (a plastic version was later made by IKEA). It retains the signature curved and steam-bent wooden frame, exuding a graceful and seamless appearance in a scaled-down form (1:10 scale). The chair's small size showcases the iconic elements such as the arched backrest and curved legs, fitting perfectly into dollhouse decor and bringing a touch of historical charm to miniature settings.
Fun fact: The simple yet elegant bentwood chair has been used as a stylistic element in every Second City show since inception.
Printing Instructions 🪑 Print and glue the Top and Bottom pieces together.
Layer Height: 0.2mm Supports: Tree Supports - build plate only, threshold angle of 45 degrees (I don't recommend going below this). No Brim needed. If you prefer the ring style, you should print the ring and bottom pieces separately from the "Pieces" section and then attach them using glue. While you can attempt to print the entire chair model, I would advise against it, though you are certainly welcome to give it a try.
