I created an insert to hold a ring set and earrings, along with custom text - utilizing this as a "ring" box for an anniversary present.
I also added 5 x 2 mm magnets to the top of the internal post and the lid to keep it securely closed.
I used some ~24ga metal wire to hold the leaves in place - I put the bottom leaves in place before gluing the hinge onto the top of the body, then glued the top leaves to the bottoms.
