D20 Cage For a Necklace, Keychain, Earring, Flexible with TPU
bysanglover84A lot of people make d20 cages out of jump rings and chainmail and they look really cool. I tried to do this and my dice just kept falling out or I could never get them back in and stay in. So I wanted to do something that kept the dice in and was easy to put in and remove and looked decent. I also have almost a kilogram of TPU filament I don't have a lot to do with yet, so I figured I could use it to prototype some things.
I made this hollow d20, and then cut out 1/4 of it, and added a loop so you can fasten it to anything, keychain, necklace, earring. A standard sized d20 (22mm) fits easily inside. Biggest I tried was a 25mm. The one in the pictures/video is 22mm.
It's still a work in progress and I definitely need to do more to make it look nicer, but I got the right size, thickness, and everything on the first print. I uploaded 2 designs, one is easier to remove the d20 from. I used a random brand TPU I got on sale, not the highest quality, and default settings in Lychee. It's pretty strong.
