Hello all!
I've been playing around with my printer and ended up with something pretty neat – a basket! But not just any basket. This one's got a trick up its sleeve... or rather, its handles.
🧺 The Design: Picture this: a basket that comes out of the printer with its handles already in place. No fuss, no muss, just a straight-up ready-to-use basket with handles that are part of the whole deal.
🐱 The Backstory: So, my wife's been after me to create a place to stash all those little bits and bobs – think cat meds for our grand dame of a feline and clothespins that otherwise roam free around the house. And voilà, this basket was born!
🔲 The Look: It's got hexagonal holes all over, which I think are pretty snazzy if I do say so myself. They're not just for looks, though – they save on filament too.
📏 The Specs: Size-wise, we're talking 200x120x114mm. It's like the Swiss Army knife of baskets – compact yet capable.
🖨️ Printing Pro-Tips: Go with PLA for this little number. It's easy to print with and sturdy enough for the job. And hey, why not jazz it up by printing the handles in a different color (if your printer can handle it)? Keep your layers at 0.2mm for the best mix of strength and detail, and guess what? No supports needed. I know, it's pretty cool. Also suggest 3 walls for extra strength.
🛠️ Handle Freedom: Just a heads-up, you might need to wiggle the handles a bit to free them when they're fresh off the print bed. A little wiggle, a little nudge, and they should be good to go.
So there it is – a basket that's more than just a basket. It's a little piece of home improvement, straight from my printer to yours. Can't wait to see what you make of it!
Keep on printing, and keep it fun!
