I made this model with a single piece collar and widened 1mm and 2m depth grind plates for precision work. As seen in the photos, I cut and glued a piece of leather on the inside mating surface so the outer surface of the leather won't be scratched as it runs across the sanding drum. This way I am able to get fast, level sanded edges and not scar up finished pieces. The port at the bottom is for attaching a vacuum cleaner hose, and it can be remixed to suit your needs. Note the size of the drum used in the photo, you will need to remix the grind plate if you use a different diameter drum.

Print with PLA+, CF-PLA etc. as long as you use a properly dried, rigid filament and it will be very strong. I use a 50% triangular infill.
