Folding Pocket Knife

3D-Printable Folding Pocket Knife

This compact folding pocket knife is both fun and functional, designed to be 100% 3D-printable. It features three interchangeable blade designs, each with distinct geometry, allowing you to choose the best option for your intended use. For enhanced durability, I recommend printing the blade with a strong material like ABS.

Blade Options: Blade A: Double-sided 45-degree edge, ideal for cutting box tape. This blade is relatively dull but effective for tasks that don't require sharpness. Blade B: Single-sided 45-degree edge, offering greater sharpness at the cost of durability. Cutting slowly helps extend the blade's lifespan. Blade C: Single-sided 33-degree edge, the sharpest and least durable option. Best suited for thin films (like plastic) and paper.

Design Features: The knife is 100% printable, snap-together, and includes a print-in-place compliant spring within the handle. This spring acts as a detent, securing the blade in both the open and closed positions. No hardware, fasteners, or adhesives are needed, and no support is required during printing.

Print Settings: Material: Use ABS for the blades for durability; PLA or ABS works well for the handle. Nozzle: 0.4mm Layer Height: 0.2mm Line Width: 0.4mm Wall Count: 4 (1.6mm) Top & Bottom Layers: 5 Infill: 40% cubic Ironing: Not required Brim: No Support: No
