The original design is from Allan E. Andersson For my model number 100 I want to honor this fantastic model that I found here. A Corliss steam engine is a type of steam engine equipped with variable timing and rotary valves. Engines equipped with Corliss valve systems offered better thermal efficiency than any other type of stationary steam engine, until one-way flow steam engines and steam turbines appeared. Corliss motors were typically used as stationary motors to provide mechanical power to a linear shaft in factories and workshops, and to drive dynamos that generated electricity.

Una máquina de vapor Corliss es un tipo de máquina de vapor equipada con válvulas rotativas y de sincronización variable.
