Repentants are neophyte penitents that consecrate their body to pay and make pay for the crimes of all sinners to the eyes of Ivrean. These soldiers have sworn to renounce all pleasure and they will remain chaste, eat no solid foods and speak no intelligible words. All they do is serve Ivrean as soldiers for her holy and eternal war, self-inflicting as much pain as they draw, for penitence is their only obsession (and their only way to prove their worth).
