I originally designed this as a mini ornament. It looks great at that size (1X), but looks even better at 1.5X and should look good at even larger sizes. The cover photo shows it at 1.5X (yellow cap) and the second photo shows it at 1X (white cap).

At 1X, it's about the size of a golf ball. At 1.5X, it's a standard Christmas ball size.

I've provided a couple versions of the ball - in 2 pieces and in 1 piece (not including the cap). I recommend printing it as 2 pieces. It's a lot smoother that way and the ball prints without supports. I've provided my PrusaSlicer 3MF files and MK3S+ GCODE for the 2 piece print at all 1X and 1.5X. I've provided the ball as 1 piece mostly in case someone wants to experiment with cutting it in a different place or you want to print the ball as 1 piece using a 3 color filament. NOTE: I've added new GCODE for the 1.5X top and bottom halves, but can't delete the old ones. In the new, the temp is higher, perimeter order updated, and seems set to random. I also added more infill at the top of the bottom half of the ball. This has improved the print quality a lot. The files you'll want to use are the ones that end in "2h37m (bottom) and 2h36m (top).

I've provided my PrusaSlicer 3MF files as well as the GCODE to print the ornament on a Prusa MK3s+.

I set bottom to zero and increased the perimeters to 8 for the first millimeter using a height layer adjustment in PrusaSlicer. This gives a shelf that glues together easily, makes the ball lighter, and reduces the contact area which reduces the likelihood that an uneven plate will create a wider gap between the pieces.

The rest of the ornament has just 2 perimeters. Top/bottom settings eliminated the need for infill on most of the balls. I used a layer height adjustment to add 100% infill at the top of the bottom half of the ball - where the dome is sealed.
