3D printable case for the Sofle RGB keyboard https://github.com/josefadamcik/SofleKeyboard
BOM:
- M2x8 SHCS (x16)
- M2 Heated inserts OD ~3.3mm, L 3mm (x16)
- single sided adhesive EPDM foam tape 10mm wide, 1mm thick (1 meter should be plenty).
Printing: No support needed. I printed mine with 40% infill, 4 perimiters, 5 Top and bottom solid layers. window.stl should be printed with translucent material.
Stls are for the right side, mirror the models to fit the left side.
Assembly:
-
Apply foam tape on the edges of the baseplate where it touches the rest of the case.
-
Insert the heated inserts with a soldering iron into the bezel. (8 per side)
-
The holes in the bottom.stl are not continuous so that the model is printable. The holes might be drilled with a 2mm - 2.5mm drill bit. For me it was enough to press the screws through with a little force.
-
Glue the window into the bottom half of the case
-
the rest should be self explaining
