[Update 29 September 2024] Uploaded a new version of the Harp (It should be called Harp NEW 25.9.3mf) - this new version has more supports than the previous one, for those who still have issues with the wobbly 'strings'. I test printed this and my harp came out great so hopefully that's the same for you!

[Original Post] Alright. Here it is. The Dread Trove. Finished.

After a painstaking amount of tweaking, adjusting and experimenting, I am finally satisfied with my Dread Trove collection.

So, for fans of ACOTAR - have so much fun with this!

I've already previously uploaded the mask, that hasn't changed and the settings for it have been perfect. The Crown and the Harp had to undergo A LOT of adjusting because of how they were designed (yes, I can fully blame... me. They're my designs. I did this to myself).

Anyway.

I've attached the mask, the harp and the crown - all individually, but ALSO a 3-in-one plate that allows you to print all of them at one time. They just about fit on a Bambu Lab P1S plate, so if you have anything smaller, you'll need to print the individual files.

The settings. This is pretty important. Mostly because of the supports - as much as I hate using supports, they were necessary this time :(

The 3MF files will have settings that I have personally have successes with - see images. However, if you have your own settings you prefer, please feel free to use them. The Crown and the Mask aren't too complicated - I only have the following pretty important recommendation for the harp:

THE HARP: The harp has those diagonal 'harp strings' that, if your settings/supports aren't ideal, will deform when printing due to the nature of the tall, thin 'strings'. In my harp 3MF file I did the following:

  1. Split the strings into a separate object and applied slower speed settings JUST for the strings to reduce the wobble that naturally occurs on thin models like that. I slowed it down to 100m/s for the outer wall and 150mm/s for the inner wall.

  2. Painted on tree supports across the harp strings to further ensure the wobble doesn't affect the print and that the 'strings' stay in position the entire time.

  3. Support settings:

  • Tree (auto), default

  • On build-plate only

  • 0 top interface layers, 0 bottom interface layers

  • Top and bottom Z distance: 0.32mm

  • XY distance: 0.4 / 0.5 (but this is less important that the other settings).

I hope you all like this - I sure did. Right from the initial drafting of it on paper down to the final print.

Much love,

cyanide.
