Nimble family Version 1 is no longer sold, we have announced Version 2.

For the print head kit for the Nimble Version 2 family, have a look at Nimble and Sidewinder V2 mounts for the Creality type print heads

Changelog

-28 Added Dual fan duct for the Mosquito. -27 The BL Touch now has a mount that will allow it to be used with the Ducting 5015 Dual Sensor. It places the BL Touch far enough away to clear the duct. Offset in X is 44mm. -26 Thank to Li, we rebuilt the Dual ducting for the 5015 fans. It now fits better and gives a little more space. -25 Added a Dual 5015 duct that allows a new induction sensor. -24 R2 figured out that the Ducting_4010 hits the fan mount in the V6 mount, so I changed the duct. -23 Added mount for the Chimera/Cyclops+ Aqua hot ends. Also added a 5015 duct for it.
-22 Modified the 5015 ducting to better distribute the air flowing around the nozzle. -21 In some cases a spacer is needed for the BL Touch, so I added one. -20 Removed all CR-10Pro parts, as we were notified that the Nimble will not work on a CR-10Pro. The stepper driver cannot handle the speeds required. We are working on a solution. -19 Modified the induction sensor mounts to also fit on a CR-10Pro. Offset changed by 2.5 mm forwards in Y -18 Added a modified shroud if you are mounting a Microswiss hotend on a CR10Pro. -17 Added modified ducts for the Mosquito hotend. Also had to modify the hotend shroud. -16 Added the duct for a 4020 radial fan. (Thanks, cmcconkle!) -15 Updated the V6 Shroud for better airflow around the heat sink. -14 Added a fan duct for two 5015 fans. -13 Added the Mosquito shroud for on the CR10Pro type x carriage. -12 Changed the ducting all over. The ducts will work on V6 and V6 Volcano. All the ducts will also work on Ender5. The 5015 ducts will hold the fan with no additional supports needed. -11 Finally got my hands on a good 5015 fan and have now modified the ducting a bit to fit better. -10 Created a new 5015 duct for part cooling. This one will fit on the Ender 5 and I think CR-X. Any carriage where the belt connectors sit on the front face. Thanks Jay -9 Updated the BL Touch mount. It was too low for the V6 mount. I could have simply change the V6 mount, but that would have meant everybody needed to print a complete new mount, the BL Touch mount is a lot smaller, so I changed that. Thanks BySeven. -8 Thanks to Pumpal, found an error in the nut pocket for the sensor mounts. Fixed and updated. Used this moment to also make the nut easier to slide in. -7 Added the 12 mm induction mount. For the Ezable mini kit -6 Added a hotend shroud for the Slice Engineering Mosquito hotend. It can be used the standard 25x25 fan that comes with the Mosquito or you can use a 40x40 fan. -5 Added a Mount Block for the V6 on a CR10Pro carrier. Only the mount block is different. The rest of the parts are identical to the other V6 mount. -4 That was hard work! Added a mount for the E3D V6. This meant a complete rework of all the ducting models. And that caused a rework of all the other hotend shrouds. -3 Added Hotend shroud for the CR-10Pro type backing plate. Also added a 5015 brace for on the Pro. -2 Added two ducting forms, having a spot to attach an endoscope. Also added a fan brace for the 5015 fan. -1 Changed both ducting parts to give enough space for a 40x40x20 hot end cooling fan.

Description

Modular print head to mount a Zesty Nimble on the Creality type print heads. This covers a wide range of printers. The hot end mount is compatible with both the original hotend and the MicroSwiss hotend.

There are two other versions, for the Sidewinder. With the drive cable pointing backwards: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3629284 With the drive cable pointing to the left: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3629235

There are two versions of ducting, one for the original fan and one for a 5015 radial fan.

Also included is a mount for the BL Touch and a mount for an induction sensor, like the one mounted on the CR-10Pro. The offset for the BL-Touch is: X+30.3 Y+2.4 For the induction sensor it is: X+35.2 Y-6.8

All sensor mounts and ducting is height adjustable.

Printing: Only the hotend shroud needs to be printed with support. Make sure you switch off the support generation when printing the ducting. The exit holes in the ducting have little braces to make the printing easier. Remove these before installing it. All of these parts can be printed using PLA. The temperatures stay low enough not to bother the PLA.

Additional fasteners: Over and above the fasteners that come with the Nimble or are re-used from the print head, you will need: 4 x M3 nuts 3 x M3x10 For the 5015 Fan you will need 1 x M3x25 And depending on which shroud you are using, you will need a few M3x30 long. For our USA friends, it is easiest to buy a kit like this: M3 fastener kit

The STL models are checked and optimised. The parts that need a different orientation to print properly are rotated to the preferred printing position.

The Nimble Extruder

With an installed weight of less than 27 grams on your carriage/effector the Zesty Nimble is the smallest and lightest extruder you can buy, it has ample torque and can be mounted in multiple orientations.

The Nimble is available from Zesty Technology.
