Introducing the first of a small set of new planters I'll be releasing!
Around springtime I usually like to design and release a few new planter designs, and this year we have the Droid Planters. Kind of an unofficial name, but my fiancé says they remind her of droids so that's where we're at for now!
This design prints support free, and prints in multiple pieces so you don't need a multicolor printer to create a great color scheme! There are pieces that screw/snap together, and a few pieces that glue together after printing.
To achieve the green/silver/white on the planter you see above, I did color swaps on a single color printer for the main body.
As mentioned, this is the first of a small set of planters I'm working on releasing! I've got another one already prototyped and ready for release, I'll be working on making that one available within the next couple days! Printing Info: These are just the settings I used to test the model, feel free to use whatever settings work best for you. FDM or Resin: FDM Scaling: I have not yet attempted to scale down, some of the smaller threaded elements may have issues. Supports: None Infill/Perimeters: 15% Infill + 2 Perimeters Nozzle Size: 0.4 Layer Height: 0.2
Printing & Assembly: All pieces print support free in the orientation they import in. The only pieces that will need to be glued in afterwards are the eyes and the decorative bolts. The bottom bolts screw into the bottom of the main body, and the drip tray secures onto that. The feet snap into the bottom of the drip tray with the feet facing inwards.
