Now I'll tell you a story: I think by now you'll have understood that this is my favorite airplane 🤣. And it doesn't happen that often I play it more than my son 🤣. But coming back to us, I created a motorized variant for my desk, so I can have fun without arguing with my son! Note the invasion of my son during the video! The PWM module was used (manufacturing would take more time, the module costs not even 50 CZK). PWM regulation is better compared to classic linear regulation in that it significantly does not change the torque. Thanks to this, the motor is "stronger" even at lower speeds. Additionally, there is a module for Li-Pol battery protection (BMS), which must not be overly discharged. BMS handles charging, discharging, and battery protection. In this case, part of the BMS is a voltage converter that raises the voltage from 4.2V to 5V (because the PWM regulation module cannot work with lower voltage). It's all straightforward, nothing complicated. It all costs just a few bucks.
