This sculpture is part of a series of three sculptures derived from the gyroid triopoly periodic minimal surface. Cube edges are one and a half unit cells with a length of approximately 90mm.

Files are provided plain and with custom supports. Be aware that the custom supports may or may not be optimized for your particular printer, slicer and materials.

Gyroid Sculpture #1: A single gyroid surface in Voronoi pattern. Voronoi structures are approximately 3mm in diameter.

Gyroid Sculpture #2: Two offset gyroid surfaces: one solid, the other in Voronoi pattern. Voronoi structures are approximately 3mm in diameter. Mathematically, these are separate surfaces that weave around each other but do not touch. In this model there are small bridges hidden within the structures that connect the two surfaces together for structural purposes. If desired, the surface shells can be separated for dual colour printing.

Gyroid Sculpture #3: Two solid offset gyroid surfaces connect with randomly place “wormholes.” The wormhole openings are approximately 7.5mm in diameter.
