[Large Sized Model - 50mm Base]

[Presupported with LYS files in 32mm Scale]

Marine creatures native to the coasts of Abunen Kolden. During the Elemi Migration to Tharador during the Second Era, many were brought to Tharador’s eastern coasts by Water and Air Elemi who used the beasts as mounts or draught beasts, pulling boats and barges. Though the creatures are anything but friendly, requiring special taming to lull them into a means of placing a harness or saddle over them. Woe to anyone who encounters a hungry one of these creatures in the open ocean.

Seen roaming the coasts of Edrador’s west coast in schools of six to eight, the Tengaraya are a strange amphibious species that spends almost as much time in the air as it does in the water. Their aerodynamic body provides them with the means to achieve flight and incredible speeds within the water, propelling themselves faster than any boats can move. Due to this agility and versatility, the beasts are coveted as mounts by Water and Air Elemi alike, who use them to traverse great distances.

But in the wild they are dangerous beasts, known for divebombing unsuspecting travellers from above, sinking their vessels or simply crushing them. Similarly they are known to simply bite off a whole leg of unsuspecting swimmers in the ocean who are unaware of their presence. This however is only in the time one encounters a rather territorial lone Tengaraya in the height of its mating cycle, or one that is exiled from its family and desperate for food. The rule of thumb given by the water Elemi is “If they’re all alone, go on home. If they’re in a school, you’ll be cool.” Or rather, that’s the approximate translation from the Elemi tongue of Magyar. As such, groups of the creatures are usually placid and docile, unless provoked. If provoked, the survivability of the provoker is low.
