Today we bring you a fully customizable tube junction, inspired by our Boat Rail Base.

OpenSCAD Customizer OptionsWe recommend you use OpenSCAD to customize this design.
This design has the following Customizer options:
General- Configuration - The type of junction
- Material_Thickness - Thickness of the material
- Tube_Profile - The shape of the tube
- Round_Tube_Inside_Diameter - The inside diameter of the round tube
- Rectangular_Tube_Inside_Width - The inside width (X/Y axis) of the rectangular tube
- Rectangular_Tube_Inside_Height - The inside height (Z axis) of the rectangular tube
- Min_Tube_Length - The minimum length of the tube
- Tube_Bevel_Percentage - The amount to bevel the end of the tube (as a percentage)
- Grub_Screw_Hole_Diameter - Grub screw hole diameter. Not threaded. Will require manual tapping.
We recommend printing this in a durable filament, such as ABS, nylon or even metal!
Versions- 0.1 (11 Feb 2022) - Initial version - work in progress
Recommended slicer settings:
- Resolution: 0.1mm - 0.2mm
- Infill: ~50% or higher if you need it to be extra durable.
- Supports: Should not be required for small parts. May be necessary for larger parts, depending on chosen settings and orientation.
- Rafts: Not required, unless you experience adhesion issues.
The "Tube Junction" models (.stl) are licensed under the CC BY license by Code and Make.
The "Tube Junction" code (.scad) is licensed under The MIT License by Code and Make.
Note: 'BSD' license has been selected as it is the closest available option in the list.
