Are you a spoonie? Spoon theory explains that people living with chronic illness, chronic pain, and disability have limited energy resources and also expend more energy on everyday tasks than people without illness and disability.

In spoon theory, spoons represent both the physical and mental load required to complete tasks.

We live with fatigue. This limits the amount of energy we have. Activities like getting dressed or brushing our teeth take a lot of energy. In spoon theory, a spoon represents an amount of energy. Spoonies only have a certain number of spoons per day, and have to be careful not to use more than they have otherwise they will crash.

When a person runs out of spoons, they feel physically and emotionally exhausted and must rest to replenish their spoons. This process is called "recharging".

I have created a “recharge jar" for fellow Spoonies (adult and child both!) to be able to mentally put your spoons away at night to recharge and relax.

This is kind of a mixture between your standard spoon theory recharging and the Box Method (they are both a good read for anyone dealing with mental health issues! :)) because it is easier for me specifically to actually rest and recharge if I mentally put my spoons in a jar in my head.

This is the subscriber version for commercial use. The free version can be found and downloaded on Makerworld @CURS3D for personal use. :)
