Gridfinity Modular Base System
The Gridfinity system by https://thangs.com/designer/ZackFreedman is pretty cool and all, but one thing I haven't found (on like the first page of stuff because I have the attention span of a goldfish) is a base system for it that is modular. I've seen parametric bases, but not fully modular ones.
So, well, here it is. The connectors for the base modules might be a touch finicky to print because of the very small detail so be sure to keep that in mind. I put the clearance at 0.2mm because that's what I've found generally makes for an ok interference fit on my printers.
Each base piece is one unit in every dimension, including z (42x42x7) to make life simple for everyone. The test pieces I printed snapped together very nicely after I cleaned up some imperfections from the prints. I printed them in Inland PETG+ at 0.2mm layer height.
Update:
First version had incorrect corner radius on the base plate. This has been updated so that it now has the correct corner radius. There was no change to the connectors so those should still work, but if you printed V1 base you'll need to reprint with this update to be able to use with other Gridfinity modules.

Fillet is too big and does not fit
Weird, when I try downloading it I only get the most recent files.
Yes, I actually found it and printed a few of them to test, also I think it would be good to remove the "faulty" models as I they are still in the download zip makes it confusing which one is now good and which one is not,
Weird, it looks like it was off by 0.6mm.. I just updated it with the correction. You might also like my other modular base if you are able to print overhangs well with your printer. I've moved on to using that one because I like the connector system on it better. https://thangs.com/designer/Ash_Slash/3d-model/Low-Profile%20Gridfinity%20Modular%20Base%20%28Overhang%29-822836?manualModelView=true
The base plate fits but the connector does not it seems you have made the distance smaller.
Thanks, I will be printing one to see if it fits. Will let you know
New version is up with what should be the correct corner radius now. Let me know if there is any other issues with this. Thanks!
You aren't doing anything wrong, I had thought the corner dimension was listed as radius but it was diameter. I'll have an update with the correct 4mm radius corners soon.
I am just starting with Gridfinity so perhaps I am doing something wrong
The rounding of the corners is too big and does not fit items, here is a random print for Gridfinity if you look at the bottom the corner rounding is much less that the one on your Random Gridfinity Link
The fillet is too big for what? The measurments should match the standard, but if I got something wrong I can definitely modify it.
