For Halloween this year I've been playing around with a fusion of two of my interests - 3D printing and coding!
I use codeblocks to create patterns and the overall shape and then build on that by adding details to create a new spooky model!
This is the cauldron I made - the bowl is generated with code and the details like the feet, brim and handles are added afterwards.
The angles are quite carefully calculated so, while you will need to have your settings well dialled in to avoid stringing etc, it's actually a pretty easy print with no need for supports anywhere other than between the feet as a small area here is raised from the build plate.
I'll be putting pictures in the makes - these were printed in eSun twinkling black PLA :)
There's a slight bit of messiness around the brim on one of my prints - there was just a small overhang I'd missed in the design. I've adjusted the model already to correct this!
I also have a spiral pumpkin I made in a similar way if you're interested! https://thangs.com/m/27028
