Bug Catcher 2000 with Print-in-place arms

This new version has been updated with print in place arms. They also offer a stronger pivot mechanism then the previous version.

We live in an old house with lots of bugs so until I can figure out how they are getting into my house my family wanted a way to take the bugs outside without touching them so I made them the Bug Catcher 2000! It opens and closes just like a pair of scissors! I printed my dome and tray are printed out of flexible filament to ensure the bugs doesn't get smushed.

Printing I printed the legs out of PLA and the dome and tray out of sainsmart TPU so the bugs dont get squashed, if you accidentally close it one of them. The dome needs supports. You can add your own supports or use the stl file with built-in supports. I’ve only printed the supported version in TPU, so not sure how it will work with other materials.

Assembly I used Gorilla Glue(aff.) to glue the scissor legs onto the dome and tray.

Printed on the Muldex rep-rap IDEX printer with [Hatchbox Red PLA

Note: Assembly model for reference only.
