I said I'll make a few more, so obviously I was not going to skip my all time favorite movie!

This one is a single piece - no multicolor, no multi-parts. I designed it with Rub-n-Buff in my mind. Rub-n-Buff is a very easy technique to give 3d prints that awesome metal look, If you are unfamiliar with it just hit YouTube to find out (Or my Instagram!)

Update 29/09/25:

I added a Xeno_Ice_Cream_Pint_Holder_no_spike version. While the spike has a cool look to it - it can be a bit uncomfortable when holding. This version also has some slight changes to the handle to remove small areas that were completely floating to get slightly better looking results.

Printing:

This print does require supports and while it looks a lot it should sum up to approx. 20-25 grams. I recommend using tree supports. Do mind that the most critical area is the upper teeth part so make sure your supports settings will hold them properly! Cup is left handed - Mirror it if you want a right handed version.

The holder has been tested with Ben & Jerry’s and Haagen-Dazs pints, but you may need to rescale it for your preferred brand. To help with that, I included a Size_Tester.stl - print it first to check the fit. If it’s off, just scale all parts accordingly.

Included a version without a hole on the bottom so you can use it as a pen holder or whatever 🙂

My settings:

  • 2 Walls
  • 5% Gyroid infill
  • Tree supports

A few notes regarding the design itself:

  • I made a last minute change and made the handle and the tail spike a bit smaller than what can be seen in the photos.
  • The back pipes that hold the spoons are not very big so please don't expect putting huge spoons in there 😅 While this is some sort of compromise I wanted the back part to have a super recognizable feature thus I chose the back pipes.

I can make them a little bigger to fit slightly bigger spoons, so if this in issue let me know and I'll give it a go!

Hello, just wanted to follow up if you've been able to update it without the spike. Also, this can almost print without support on the handle, but only of you slightly chamfered the overhands on the ringed parts. Have you considered that? They would come out much cleaner, with or without supports.

I added a new version

I'll add it it later today including some improvements to the supported areas you mentioned

If you use rub n buff, what do you seal it with afterward? The rub n buff is coming off on my hand.

An acrylic varnish should do the job
