E.T - the Extra Testy

This is E.T. — The Extra Testy

I’ve been seeing memes around this idea, but I couldn’t find anyone who actually turned it into a 3D model — so naturally, I felt it was necessary to bring him to life.

You’ll need a multicolor printer for the eyes, but hand-painting them is obviously an option too.

Printing:

There are two versions included: A full single-file print A split version made of 3 parts

Supports are required for all files. Make sure they are strong and sturdy, especially around the hand and head, so they don’t lose grip during printing.

The split version is simple to assemble and only uses 3 parts. A bit of glue is recommended.

I created the split version mainly to save filament on the purge tower and to reduce the risk of a failed print, especially around the head and arm

What is the height? What filament colors did you use for the body and the blue of the eyes?

He looks great. I'm thinking you may have attached the wrong version of the separated hand file though. It's not colored (not that it makes a difference since it's only 1 color) but also it's calling for a .2 nozzle and the rest of the files are a .4 nozzle

Hey, The hand is an STL file, it does not contain any information on color or nozzle sizes...

Thanks! Must have been something weird in the download. I redownloaded the file and it looks ok now. If I open the original file it still has it at a .2 nozzle.
