This is a double-gang, single-sided rocker switch-style WallPlateMate.

This WallPlateMate panel is part of my modular WallPlateMate system which allows you to snap on various accessories and expansion items to wall plates. This single-sided WallPlateMate allows you to attach accessories to one side of the wall plate.

The WallPlateMate installs easily in place of existing wall plates and does not require any new holes in the walls. They use your existing screws and screw holes so they can be removed at any time. The various WallPlateMate Accessories can be snapped on or off without tools, fasteners or adhesives.

For those in parts of the world that do not have North American-style wall plates, the FlexPlate can be used to attach the entire line of accessories to any wall without replacing a switch or outlet cover. I now have a screw-on and also a stick-on (glue-on) version of the FlexPlate.

This is a compliant snap-together design.

IMPORTANT: As the wall plates of switch and electrical outlets are considered part of a flame enclosure it is important to use a flame retardant / self-extinguishing filament when printing parts to be used in electrical applications. More information and links to some suitable filaments can be found here... https://all3dp.com/1/3d-printing-with-flame-retardant-materials/ and... https://www.prusa3d.com/en/product/prusament-petg-v0-jet-black-1kg

Print Settings

For the best results, I recommend the following:

  • Material: PETG - See notes about self-extinguishing filament
  • Nozzle: 0.4mm
  • Layer Height: 0.2mm
  • Line Width: 0.4mm
  • Wall Count: 4 (1.6mm)
  • Top and Bottom Layer Count: 5
  • Detect Thin Walls: ON
  • Infill: minimum 40% (Cubic)
  • Ironing: Not required
  • Brim: No
  • Support: No
