These 3D print models come separated into STLs for easy 3d printing- backpack has 32 main backpack pieces and 19 strap cover plates, and the rifle is separated into 29 parts with 18 plugs for easy printing and assembly.
The backpack model has been designed with usability in mind- there are slots and pins to allow for 38mm nylon webbing to be run as straps, and the plate covers will conceal it, while allowing flexibility. You will need 2 10mm x 78mm steel rods for the top strap connection, and sewing needle/thread to sew the strap returns back to themselves. I would also recommend some good quality epoxy glue to glue everything together for strength! If you want functional clips, you can also use 38mm webbing clips. You will also need a way to punch holes in the nylon webbing to allow for the strap covers to stay in place - or just print the non-plugged versions.
The missile compartments on the backpack have two versions - one with a more snug fit, for gluing the missiles in place; the second has tolerance built in to affix 3mm ribber rubber sheeting in place, which will hold the missiles more securely, while still allowing them to be removable. I would recommend a good lacquer on the missiles to seal in the paint if you go this route!
The rifle is able to be reloaded, and is compatible with the missiles in the backpack - you will need an 8mm bolt, with a 16mm OD washer and a nyloc nut, for the back cone to swivel. This lets you put the missile in, and then when in place, stops it from falling it. I have also allowed room for 6 3x2mm magnets to be glued, which will act as a lock for the swivelling mechanism.
I've also allowed for the front grip to have an M8 x 140mm cap head screw installed internally, to stop it snapping when held- this is fully concealed. An example of the screw you will need is - https://www.accu.co.uk/metric-cap-head-screws/2917-SSC-M8-140-A2 You'll also need an M8 hex head nut, and an allen/hex key to screw it all in. To install this handle with the internal screw, fit the nut into the allocated hex space behind the FrontGripRail, before gluing the rail into place. Make sure the screw hole matches the hole in MainBodyThree! Then, slide the FrontGrip into place, and line up the hole with the matching hole in the FrontGripRail. The nut will be held in place by the print, and then simply tighten the screw until it's flush in the hole. Finally, glue the FrontGripCap in, and you're done! A note on this - make sure you don't get any glue in the nut when you're gluing the rail into place. This may seize the hole and not allow the screw to marry into place.
When assembling the rifle, make sure to do a dry fit before gluing! The side clamps need to be slotted in before the main body is assembled. The front barrels should also be rotated into place to ensure the inside fluted chamber lines up.
Please note - this is not an official replica, but I do always take care to be as accurate to in game models and references as I possibly can be! The in game backpack model clips directly to the armour, so I took a little creative licensing and translated them as straps instead. If you do want to be as accurate as you can be, you could also use a 4 point harness under your armour and use 38mm nylon clips to clip directly to it!
