It will keep it dry and dust free as well. Just throw a desicant pouch into the cord compartment. I printed in three parts...

1. Lid
2. Base
3. Hinge (created using the parametric hinge customizer here: https://www.thingiverse.com/apps/customizer/run?thing_id=2187167)

Because the customizer makes the hinges quite large, I increased the hinge tolerances to be a bit looser fitting and then reduced the size of the hinge in Simplify 3D to 27mm X 62mm before slicing. It took a bit of persuading the break the hinge loose, but I carefully worked at it for a few minutes immediately after the print finished so the plastic was still a bit warm and less brittle. Eventually, it started to move and now it hinges nice and smooth. I attached the hinge using CA glue so that no screws were needed.

I'm thinking about making a version with spaces to embed magnets to hold it closed. It was an afterthought and I may still drill some holes and glue some into the one I made.
