Large Scale Multi Piece Santa Claus by RebelTaz
As requested, this is the perfect companion to my Large Scale Multi Piece Snowman. This is designed to be printed in multiple colors on a 200mm cubed printer and assembled with the cement of your choice (I prefer SCIGRIP 10315 16 Acrylic Plastic Cement but that's me). I tried my best to reduce the need for supports, but because of the ruffles, some supports were unavoidable. The completed model is just shy of 300mm (~12 inches) tall.
Recommended Colors (this really shouldn't need explaining, but...):
- boots - black
- ruffles_boots - white [might require supports]
- legs - red
- ruffles_coat - white [requires supports]
- ruffles_front - white
- body - red
- hair - grey [requires supports]
- face - flesh
- lips - flesh (or red/pink)
- eye_l and eye_r - white
- pupil_l and pupil_r - black
- ruffles_hat - white [requires supports]
- hat - red [might require supports]
- hatBall - white [requires supports]
- glove_l and glove_r - green [requires supports]
- pins_x6 - any color you want, just be sure to print six
Where supports are needed, I recommend Cura's Tree Supports. They leave fewer scars and are easier to remove. Not to mention, they look totally cool! :D I tried to make everything as support-free as I could, but it's kind of impossible for ruffles to print without support... well, for me anyway...
Assembly should be obvious too, even without the photos, unless you've just landed on Earth from another planet - in which case..... I'm sorry. In all seriousness, though, test fit everything prior to gluing. The pieces will only fit together properly in one way.
