5.56/.223 Ammo Box, 20 Round by RebelTaz
If you happen to come across any ammo between now and Armageddon - I mean the election - (yeah... good luck with that) chances are it might be loose bulk. Or maybe you are just reloading your own cartridges. Either way, you are going to need some way to keep all those rounds from tumbling around together.
I had initially started out just printing some cardboard boxes from an online template, but I found folding those boxes to be a pain. I modeled up a quick form block that I could fold the cardboard around ( see form.stl ). According to the conditions of the online template generator I used, I can't upload the completed template here, but you can go to - https://www.templatemaker.nl/en/giftbox/ - and enter these dimensions: L = 96mm ... W = 20mm ... H = 60mm.
Then I thought, yeah... but this is a 3d printing website. I can't just upload a simple solid-ish rectangle. [Yeah, I know... people do it all the time. I'm not one of those people.] So I went ahead and made a 3d printable version of the paper box, only with a removable lid instead of foldable flap.
There are two versions of the lid. One has the text 5.56 / .223 engraved into it and the other has no text at all. Use which ever you like. I've been fiddling with the XY calibration on my printer, so the sizing might be a smidge loose on the lid. If it is, just scale that down by the smallest amount.
This is a good way to use up all of those filament leftovers you have lying around....
NOTE Due to either a Thingiverse bug or (more likely) shadowbanning, my models no longer show up under the [Newest] listings. If you want to see more of my models, please be sure to 'follow' me. If you print this, it would really help if you'd post a 'make' so that others could find this model.
