2.5" Hard Drive Sleeve by RebelTaz
For my storage needs, I have found that small-ish [coparatively speaking] internal hard drives in the 250gb range are the far more economical option. I pick these up for like $5 apiece and combined with the one-time purchase of docking station ($11), you can't beat it for storage. But you need some way to keep the drive and it's electronics safe when not docked. This is just a simple sleeve to solve a simple problem. The drive is held in place by bumps at the bottom.
As you can see in the photos, my own sleeve is embossed with then content of the drive, but the model I have uploaded here is blank. You can add your own text or I can do it for you if you need.
This is designed specifically to fit this particular model drive which is 69.8mm wide, 100.25mm tall and 97mm thick with an recess on either side at the connector end. It may well fit others, but I haven't tried it on any others yet. If you need a different size, let me know and I can whip that thing out in a flash for you.
I printed this with 1.6mm walls and 9999 bottom layers - infill is irrelevant. I just find that this gives a better print and has no bearing whatsoever on the amount of filament used.
NOTE Due to either a Thingiverse bug or (more likely) shadowbanning, my models no longer show up under the [Newest] listings. If you want to see more of my models, please be sure to 'follow' me. If you print this, it would really help if you'd post a 'make' so that others could find this model.
