A fully 3D printable version of The Toronto Strandbeest, inspired by the huge one I made for a Youtube video (See below).

Based off the original invention by Theo Jansen, the Strandbeest is a mechanical walking creature that harnesses the power of the wind. This particular version uses a large 3D printed rotor at the back. The power from the wind is transferred through a gear box and to the main shaft that drives each leg module.

The Toronto Strandbeest is capable of walking completely on its own. It can also sit comfortably on its display stand (included in the STL package) so you can watch the walking mechanism do it's thing!

The STL File: Prints on all standard 3d printers, requires no additional tools or assembly, and assembles in seconds.

This video below shows you how to assemble this beest!

Full Parts list is included in the read-me file to make it easier for you to organize your prints.

Recommended print settings: Layer Height: 0.2mm Nozzle: 0.4mm Infill: 15-18% Total Material: ~300g Min. Bed Size: 180x180mm

**All the files have been pre-oriented to save you some set up time! All you need to do is drop the parts into your slicer and hit print!
